After a succession of releases beginning with 2018's debut ep 'stand in gold' the band have to continued to stay true to their values which shone through with the release of their ep 'Into the firelight' to generous reviews (here) and a steady stream of live shows around Melbourne. The Blue Hotel maintain their consistency after the release of their most accomplished single 'silence' in early 2021. The band are determined to follow with the release of 'let you down' followed by another single already in the can with a release date TBC. Yes, the the group have been busy and are gearing up for their first full length album. 
The  Blue Hotel are a 3 piece consisting of Jenna Roubos - Vocal/piano/synths Nathan Thomas - Guitar/Vocal/synths and Benjamin O'brien - drums/beats&percussion.
The core musical strength of the unit allows the band to move freely between a parade of styles ranging from indie rock, to down beat ambience, dance electronic feels and heart felt ballads. The songwriting veers more toward classicism in style and prose though Roubos and Thomas are clearly fearless in their writing as the band pushes to experiment with sound as well as haunting live visuals and the bands self directed and produced videos. The band's hands on approach and dedication to perfectionism makes it clear they intend to be around for some time.
